Nice to have you at PC Pitstop. Whether you are new to Pitstop or a returning vet, and I am sure that you will find something new and interesting here at the Pitstop. I am pleased to say that Pitstop is thriving, which is good news for you as well as for us. This means that we can continue to offer our services for free. Pitstop has been profitable for 7 consecutive months, and I really believe that we are over the internet hump. During the last few years, there have been a lot of very innovative and interesting web sites that have come and gone. I didn’t want to see that happen to Pitstop, and I am happy to say that we are clearly sitting on the safe side of profitability. Of course, if you want to contribute to Pitstop’s further development, donations are always welcome.
Over the last few years, Pitstop has become much more than a web site that hosts innovative PC diagnostic technologies, it has also become a community of people. The Pitstop Forum has become a vibrant exchange of ideas, solutions to common problems, as well as a centralized forum to give feedback about PC Pitstop. There are literally hundreds of contributors spanning virtually every English speaking nation on this earth. Whether you are a novice or a guru, there is something for everyone at the Pitstop forum. Check it out, and like everything else at Pitstop, it is free.
I am also pleased to announce a new partner to PC Pitstop – Executive Software. This company has over 90% of the corporate defragmentation software market. They also wrote the defragger that comes standard in Windows. Suffice it to say, they know defragmentation software. The DiskHealth section now contains the Executive Software fragmentation analysis tool that works with all Microsoft operating systems, and both NTFS and FAT32 file systems. Disk fragmentation is greatly misunderstood, and can steal tons of system performance particularly on older systems with hard drives with less than 50% free space. We’re partnering with Executive Software to develop even more tools to better analyze your disk fragmentation.
One of the ways we keep our site free, is that we spend no money on marketing. Virtually everyone learns about PC Pitstop through word of mouth.
