Potential Scam Returns After Four Years…
In 2012 an email was being circulated pleading for help to bring home a Nigerian astronaut who was lost in space. Apparently the family never received the assistance they were requesting, as the email is making its second round. Anorak reported the possible scam again earlier this week.
The email requests readers gain access to a trust at Lagos National Savings and Trust Association, where roughly 15 million dollars is being held. For their assistance, the individual would be financially compensated with 20 percent of the transferred amount. The pleas are coming from the astronaut’s cousin, Dr. Bakare Tunde, who explains he just wants his long lost family member to return home after being lost in space since 1979.
