According to Desert Valley Hospital, the healthcare organization was hit on March 18 along with the Chino Valley Medical Center where the servers were locked to access company and patient information. Shortly following the attack, a ransom to retract the information was given to the medical center. It was later confirmed on March 22 that no ransom was paid to the cyber-criminals and patient information was not compromised.
Earlier in March, additional healthcare centers were attacked with the ransomware.
