East Lyme Trio Arrested for Credit Card Fraud and Identity Theft in iPhone Smuggling Scheme

Three individuals were arrested in East Lyme for credit card fraud and identity theft.

The arrest followed a report of fraudulent activity on a resident’s credit card, with confirmation emails for shipped packages to a UPS drop-off linked to the fraud.

Police recovered a package containing four iPhone 15 Pro Max cell phones.

Upon returning the next day, officers found 21-year-old Wildriana Hernandez, using a fake Connecticut driver’s license, attempting to retrieve the package, accompanied by her 2-year-old son. Two men, Jerry Cordero and Reymond Junior Rosario-Almonte, were waiting in a vehicle.
