Luckily for the Klinikum Arnsberg hospital, their day-to-day operations were not ceased. According to DW, the hack was found rather quickly which led the hospital to react quickly and efficiently to minimize the impact. Some files were encrypted, however it was reported by the Klinikum Arnsberg spokesperson that they were able to access the encrypted files through their back up systems.
