Malware Hits County Offices
Last week, Montgomery County offices in Illinois were impacted by a malware attack. The exact malware variant, and method of intrusion is unknown at this time.
Currently, various county offices are unable to complete daily tasks, and the phone systems are also down.
As the story progresses, we will do our best to keep you up-to-date. It remains unclear how long the systems will be down. Although, county officials have reported there are no concerns of data being breached due to this malware infection.
