Another Illinois County Suffers Cyber Attack
Just last week, we reported Crawford County in Illinois had been victimized by ransomware. Now, new reports have been released regarding another public municipality being attacked in Illinois.
WAND News 17 has confirmed Moultrie County has also been hit with a cyber attack, with employees stating it was a ransomware attack that impacted at least three servers.
The exact ransom demands are not being disclosed, nor is the ransomware variant. Although county officials are not releasing many details, they did state the attack has had no impact on early voting records.
