The XPS 710 brings quad-core processing to Dell's flagship desktop. Common specs include Processor: Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 (2.66 GHz) ; Clock speed: 2.66 GHz ; RAM installed: 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM. Other features include a 500 GB - Standard - Serial ATA-300 - 7200 rpm, a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic and a NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2 graphics adaptor.

I've made a few upgrades since 2007: upgraded default memory from 2GB to 4GB; then installed Windows 7 Professional in order to have a 64-bit system to take advantage of all 4GB of memory; upgraded my NVidia GTX-8800 graphics card to dual GTX-260. My primary hard drive C:\ , although I have tried to keep only operating system files installed on it and change other programs to run from other hard drive locations, I have less than 9GB free space. I hope to use PCPitstop to find a utility to help me find a solution.

3/17/2011 11:54:06 PM I am still concerned with my pc, once I installed the CA Tech tune up and ran the first test it down loaded a lot of things and when it went to power down it gave me a Mac Ptistop PC error, this is a Dell, not a Mac

4/1/2010 7:58:34 PM This computer is rarely on line! It is used for games and pictures only. It locks up during games and it seems to run more slowly than when I purchased it. It has been repaired several times and has had one of its two graphics cards replaced as well as the RAM. It is a Dell XPS710 with a liquid-cooled processor and should be state-of-the-art. With SLI enabled in the Boot Menu as well as in the G-Force options menu...the screen is flickering or disintegrating completely. (I believe the graphics-cards should be compatible with each other. To replace just ONE will cause this disaster.)
