1/8/2020 7:21:35 AM Yeah I had to reset my laptop to factory, dony know what all I lost & it is a huge chore getting it all set up again. The Start Up did not and was stuck in an error & repair loop that would not complete a Recovery Fis with a PCmatic saved time point. Super Big Bummer, My email for this computer is [email protected] If you could give me some info about what went wrong (as it seems like something got past your protection) and what I need to do, that would be great.

12/10/2018 5:34:26 PM I don't do a lot of computer work but I want it to work when I need to use it. I stay with Windows 7 because I know how it works for the most part. I had other versions on 3 Windows phones which were ok but I didn't want to bother with a new learning curve on my laptop.

12/18/2014 10:22:51 AM Two severe viruses brought the PC down; PC Matic anti-virus did not detect them. I had to install Microsoft Security Essentials to remove them. I can email a picure of the two viruses if needed to help you add them to your database. I had to uninstall Adobe and all associated files also...which then required me to re-install a clean windows 7 and install all my drivers also...

Last week I vacuumed(with brush) the keyboard and fan vents like I've done 20 times before, but this time accidentally while it while it was running. The next time I went to start it, it went right to the 'Launch Start-up repair page'. I then turned it off manually. I went to re-start tapping the F8 key to get to the 'Safe Mode with Networking. When I hit that it took me back to the Launch start-up repair and could not boot up. The guy who fixed it saved my hard drive but non eof my info. I have a 32GB back up stick that I did a back up (I believe) about 2 months ago. I'm afraid to. As you can tell, I'm online now with Google but I normally run Firefox. PCmatic is the 1st thing I installed. It didn't seem to run a 2 hr scan as there isn't anything to scan. When I first ran a scan your red outined window popped up saying that PCmatic can't execute as it doesn't recognize my pc as it may have been damaged by a virus.

Seldom download programs but downloaded Open Office this month and I have had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS ever since. the Internet on this computer is no longer useable because of spyware, virus and malware. I am really angry! Will likely scrap thgis computer in favor of a new Apple computer. There is only one program that I need windows for and I won't need that program much longer. EVERY Windows computer I've had in the past has eventually had the same problem with unwanted software.

11/19/2014 12:38:57 AM The hard drive had to be replaced and even though it was a warranty replacement, the hard drive did not come with all of the additional programs that I bought with the PC initially. The support people at Dell are extremely hard for me to communicate with.

2/19/2014 3:05:02 PM Part of this is the fact that it's my back-up laptop--the start button on my desktop n o longer works and I haven't been able to lug it to a repair shop and I definitely can't afford to get a new one. The rest of the dissatisfaction is due to the ever increasing "blue screens of death" that shut me down in the middle of th ings, and the fact that it feels "klutzy" and slow and I really fear it might be compromised or have a virus even though running a security program shows nothing.

Last time I said to fix all it charged me $49.99 and everytime since it also wanted to charge me to fix. I will see if that is the case again. I will not pay again for this product. If it doesn't clean my computer or attempt to charge me again I will ask for a refund or credit. Time will tell.
